Asian Engagement Photography at Raven’s Ait in Kingston

When Alpa first mentioned her asian engagement ceremony was at a fantastic wedding venue on an island in Kingston, Greater London, I was really looking forward to doing the photography for her and Dipan. I visited the Raven’s Ait website and my initial thoughts were I could really create some amazing photographs at this scenic and unusual wedding venue.

However as the day of the engagement approached I was a bit concerned as the weather has not been fantastic this summer with all the rain and our plans for going out on the boat around the island for some of the portraits photography would be difficult. As it happened the prayers of both mums were answered and the engagement day was sunny and dry.

I arrived at the venue early as the only way on to the island was by boat and also wanted to photograph both Alpa & Dipan when they arrived onto the islands. You don’t get the couple and guests arriving by boat at a Greater London wedding venue, so it was great to capture their reactions whilst on the boat.

Over 250 family and friends joined the couple and their families for the engagement ceremony in the larger Marque at Raven’s Ait. Dipan once again went down on bended knee to propose to Alpa, followed by the ring ceremony and the chundri ceremony. One of Dipan’s uncles, Pradapbhai, described the events and order of the engagement ceremony, with explanations behind some of the rituals we asians undertake in a fantastic jovial manner that all the guests enjoyed the ceremony.

After lunch, it was time for the couples portraits, using the island’s and the venues features to great effect. I wanted to show the thames river in some of the photographs from the island. but the best images were taken when we went onto the boat around the island. It was great to see both Alpa and Dipan enjoying themselves and I managed to capture so great natural moments.

Back on the island it was time for the DJ to play his music, the couple to do the first dance and the guests soon joined them on the dance floor.

Below are some of the great photographs taken on the day. This Greater London wedding venue was amazing to capture the beautiful and stunning images the ceremony.

Perfect camera for asian wedding photography?

The busiest stands were camera suppliers Canon and Nikon, as both have announced the new cameras the Canon 5D Markiii and Nikon D800. This Asian Wedding Photographer shoots with Canon 5d Markii cameras so I was more interested in the new Canon 5D Mark3. Will the new camera help me with my asian wedding photography? I had a chance to handle Canon’s EOS 5D Mark III 22MP HD DSLR, and found 5DmkIII has better high ISO performance so there should be improvement in low-light performance, useful for wedding venues that may not have perfect lighting conditions, the improved focusing will help with my natural and reportage style of wedding photography. Not forgetting this camera can be used for short clips high quality asian wedding videography as well.

    Asian Wedding Photographers review

All in all the 5D MK III is going to be a very capable camera for asian wedding photographers, and my feeling is Canon 5D mk3 prices will probably drop once the 5D mk2 stocks in the UK has been sold. Although the camera will be available from the end of March 2012, just like I have done previously I will wait for a few months in case there are any the initial issues to be ironed out. I am not aware of any but I just want to be certain that it’s is the perfect digital cameras for Asian Wedding Photography and this Asian Wedding Photographer.

Asian Wedding Photographer at London’s Oshwal Centre for the Registry Wedding and Asian Wedding ceremony of Kajal & Rupesh. The couple picked me photograph their wedding day as they wanted a London wedding photographer who would not take over and control their special day, they wanted some one who shoots naturally, reportage, photojournalistic style – a candid, documentary style of wedding photography. Manubhai conducted the formal requirement of Registry Wedding and Vijaybhai, the indian wedding priest from the Jain Temple at Oshwal Centre, had the honour of conducting the Asian Marriage Ceremony of these lovely couple. It was also great to see three of my previous clients whose weddings I had photographed over the last few years as guests of the couple. It’s a great feeling to see all three were happy with their wedding photos to suggest my wedding photography services to Kajal & Rupesh, It’s a great honour to be their recommended Asian Wedding Photographer.

Once again Dipesh and his team from Leicester’s Swarg mandap companies surpassed themselves by transforming the Oshwal Centre Hall with their elegant wedding decorations into a wedding venue, with one of their Indian open style curved wooden mandaps – a modern open plan mandaps setup that is becoming very popular.

Thank you for choosing me as your asian wedding photographer.

Asian weddings and indian wedding ceremonies for based on traditions and rituals. Combine these with regional and family traditions each wedding becomes unique to the bride and groom. So a hindu gujarati wedding will be different to a hindu patel wedding or a hindu punjabi wedding, though they will all follow the common vedic ceremony. Each ceremony associated with indian weddings is beautiful and colourful to reflect this joyous time for the bride & groom getting married and their families.

Award winning london wedding photographers, Bipin Dattani Photography, has over ten years experience of wedding photography so his is familiar with photographing ceremonies of different cultures – whether you are having a Sagai ceremony, Sangeet night, Mendhi party or Maiya marriage ceremony.
